I was asked to review the company's sales and marketing activities, and make recommendations that would help deal with great volatility in sales performance. The owners of the business worked with me to break down what was and wasn't working. When management data could be reviewed properly, it was possible to see that the supposed volatility wasn't there. I made recommendations for marketing a wider range of products to each customer, to increase up-selling and cross-selling. The business strategy we developed together enabled the business owners to focus on what really mattered. Profits increased.
