My Clients

My clients range from individuals to medium sized companies, in a variety of industry sectors.  Some clients are in start-up mode, and others are mature. They all wanted me to change their company for the better.

People Like You?

I usually work with the owner or managing director of a company and their sales and marketing teams. In small companies, that’s often just one or two people. In larger companies, I’m adept at finding the people that have the information, expertise and appetite for change that are needed to make a project succeed. Where there isn’t in-house leadership of marketing, I provide it.

I have a background in computer software, and stay in touch with what’s happening there, so I now spend about half my time working with technology companies. I held senior management positions with Hyperion and Informatica, so I tend to get invited in most often by companies in the business intelligence, data management, and performance management sectors. My international experience is of value to companies outside the UK who want to expand in Europe: US companies in particular seek that.

The tools, techniques and experience I use work everywhere. So the rest of my time is spent with companies in very different sectors. My other clients have been in financial services, manufacturing, professional services, marketing services, telecommunications, food and hospitality, automotive – and more besides.

What Do They Have in Common?

Although each company is unique, there is more that is similar between companies than is different. They all have challenges of understanding their customers and competition, organising and motivating their people, and coping with external market or economic forces.

They may offer different products, and be at varying stages of development, but every company can be improved by systematic analysis and the creation of a better business strategy.

All of my clients wanted change to happen. There’s little point in asking me to get involved if you’re not ready for things around you to change for the better, and willing to work with me to make it happen.
